In the fictional post-Soviet country of Chernarus, an unknown virus has decimated the population, turning most into violent, mindless infected.
As society breaks down, survivors must fight not only the infected but also each other for scarce resources.
The desperation of survival has driven those left to the edge, creating a hostile world where trust is rare, and danger lurks in every encounter.
In DayZ, you are one of the few immune to the virus, and your only goal is to survive as long as possible.
This open-world, sandbox survival game throws 60 players into a massive map with no predefined objectives, tips, or tutorials. Every decision is yours: scavenging for food, water, and supplies, forming fragile alliances with other players, or going it alone.
It’s an unforgiving and authentic experience where your story is what you make of it.
